July Outfit of the Month 2013

Howdy!

For our seventh stop this year, we visit the Western United States and meet:

The All American

Cowgirl!

“Cowboys have certainly gotten their due in movies and fiction over the years, but what about the cowgirl? As early as the 19th century, pioneering women learned their way around a lasso and horse on the American frontier."- Flavorwire.com

Paper Doll Camps so far have been a blast!  It's been so fun getting to know so many creative, sweet girls!  We still have two weeks left here in Idaho and a few spots left in each week!  If you'd like to sign up, go HERE.

June 2013 Outfit of the Month

Aloha!

Our sixth stop this year will be to Hawaii!
"Hula dancing is the traditional art of movement, smooth bodily gestures and vocals.  You may notice that Hula Dancing seems to have an incredibly smooth "flow" and the movements are extremely fluid.  These movements are said to actually tell a story or represent movements of nature such as trees blowing in the wind or fish swimming smoothly in the ocean."
- Hula Dance HQ

A handful of friends and family have moved to Hawaii in the past few years.  I must say, it looks like a wonderful place to be.  Someday, we'll make the trip!  Have you been?  Do you hula? :)

Next Monday is the first day of the first Paper Doll Day Camp series!  I bought all of the supplies last night.  We are ready with lots of quality paper, pens, watercolor pencils, treats, etc.!  It is going to be such a blast!
There are still spots open in all of slots so if you've been thinking this would be fun for a daughter, grand daughter etc.  Just go HERE to sign up!

May Outfit of the Month. Celebrating Mexico

A bit late this month, I apologize.  I wanted to get this out in time for Cinco de Mayo.  I guess we'll just have to have another celebration today!

Our fifth stop this year will be to Mexico!
In the Jalisco region of Mexico, the presence of native Indian, Spanish and Moorish traditions resulted in a rich, mixed performance culture typified by the hallmark folklorico dresses worn by women dancers, wide-brimmed hats for men and merry mariachi bands.

Do you celebrate Cinco de Mayo?  Do you have any of these cultures in your heritage?

April Outfit of the Month and Deals

This photo shoot made me hungry for the best kind of food - Italian.

Our fourth stop this year will be to Southern Italy!

This is a traditional outfit perfect for dancing the Tarentelle.  The Tarentelle is a dance that involves holding hands and dancing in a circle. The music gets faster and faster as the song goes on.
It is considered unlucky to dance the Tarantella alone so it is often danced by couples or by two women.  - Ottowaitalians.com
I think we should all have some spaghetti with meatballs tonight to celebrate this month's outfit.  What do you say?!

"It was on of those March days, when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold; when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." - Charles Dickens
