One of the Best Day Dreams So Far

I've shared this blog before, but had to share what my friend Lori sent me today! LOVE IT! Thanks Lori.

I am over here today....

"Cocoa" asked me to contribute to her month of "Celebrating the Family" (check out all of the posts if you get a minute...you won't regret it) with the topic on "How to Teach Our Children Love".  I share a story about my Dad that has always meant a lot to me.

You can check it out HERE

Hope this find's you all having a great day!

I love this guy!

Stevenson House News...

I mentioned in my last post that some exciting things are happening in the Stevenson home.  Are you ready to hear about them?

First off, Jeff is almost finished with his masters program.  Just one more correspondence course (hooray he's home at night) left!  I cannot wait to proclaim him done and graduated...soon...soon.

But the really big news is WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!

We are excited to add baby number 4 in March!  We started out our family with the twins who were actually in-vitro babies...we thought we would probably need to start saving for our next round when we found out (on the twins' six-month birthday) that I was pregnant with Norah.  It seems we are cured! :)

I've been very tired and very sick this time which hasn't been fun of course but things are looking up and I'm feeling better and more energized every day....HOORAY!

Anyway, that is our exciting news over here!  Anyone else due close the same time?

September Outfit of the Month

Hello, Hello.  Yes I am still alive over here.  Life has changed in some exciting ways here at the Stevenson home (which I will tell you more about soon).  Until then, just thought I'd show you what those who are members of the Outfit of the Month Club got for the month of September:

I loved the poem from John Updike.  Just exactly what September means to me!  We are doing a little Preschool Co-op with some of our friends from church.  There are about five other kids that the girls get to see on Sunday and now will see twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Each mom takes a week to host it at her home and provide a little lesson and treat.  Next week I get to have it here in our home and we are going to learn all about apples and the letter "A"!

How is everything where you are? Are you into September full swing or still wishing it were Summer?  I love seeing the "First Day of School" pictures...so if you've posted any, please share!

Favorites on Friday

Favorite photo of Daddy and the girls going home after a great Birthday Party with cousins

Been a little bit MIA this week.  Did you miss me as much as I missed you? :)

I couldn't let another Friday go by without showing you a few of my favorites. Let's get started shall we?

Loved how the woman behind Obessively Stitching created all kinds of new shirts out of dollar store shirts.

These "Spread the Love" Jam labels are great!  Now to make some jam!

Speaking of labels. Cathe Holden over at Just Something I Made shares a ton of awesome labels for the kitchen...seriously so great!

Loved these Fisher Boy shorts Katy from No Big Dill shares on Mary Jane's and Galoshes seriously so cute for both boys and girls.

Awesome Lunch Bag Tutorial round up over at one of my favorites Train to Crazy.

Just loved this vintage covered clothes pin tutorial...this blog is a new favorite too.

This bike makeover reminded me of when I was a kid.  My parents made over a bike for me with my initials on and everything....they even added a basket.

Elsie Marie shares a fun noodle craft...I think my girls would love this one.

And I want to learn how to knit just so I can do all of the projects in this book but especially the first hat...ADORABLE!

And last but not least, found through my cousin Thelma's blog...Catalog Living is a new favorite to make me LOL.

Hope this finds you having a great Friday and hope you have an even better weekend!

Favorites on Friday

One of my favorite moments from this week.  The twins going to pick veggies instead of rocks :)

The list is long today my friends!  I'd love it if you would share some of your favorites with me as well.

OK, let's start with this one, you may have seen some of these Finnish mama's photo's around the blogosphere.  I saw them a while back on Design Mom and then my sister alerted me to them again.  You have to scroll down.  Most of my favorites are toward the middle and end.

Speaking of Gabby from Design Mom.  Have you seen her sixth baby's birth announcement.  So original and adorable.

Then there is my creative sister again.  She turned some old shoes new for her daughter.  Totally fabulous.

This costume idea made me laugh out loud.

And our good friend Charity over at Indietutes generously shares a free dress pattern that I'm excited to try!  Thanks Charity!

This post from Katy at No Big Dill was so inspiring to me yesterday and today.  You won't regret taking a minute to read it.

My friend Natalie shared a really fun idea.  A family t-shirt for their reunion.  So fun.

And, oh man am I excited about these free alphabet flashcards from Jill at Homemade by Jill.  She is so generous in sharing them with us!

Speaking of generosity. Tara at EASY is sharing a free pattern for an adorable crocheted doll.

And Ellen at the Long Thread did an awesome Back to School project roundup.  So many GREAT projects listed.

Oh yeah and I love EVERYTHING on this new blog find...just great design and beauty.

OK that's all I've got.  Hope you enjoy and like I said before, I'd love for you to share some of your favorites with us!

Happy Weekend
